On curiosity
This weekend we had a dear friend over, whom we haven't seen in person for a few years, and addressing an explicit plea not to fuss had to minimise the amount of cooking to a nearly unacceptable level.
This resulted in a dish I grew up eating a lot, and missed a lot ever since: pirozhki.
These are essentially small pies with different fillings, in this case, either mushrooms and mashed potatoes, or caramelised cabbage.
