I don't really like working with hot oil: probably a childhood trauma, but equally the fear of cleaning afterwards.
This weekend however I embarked on a quest of making doughnuts (which I am not a huge fan of) following a very specific recipe from a very reputable chain (which I haven't really been to by choice).
