On causeways
Last autumn, precisely twenty editions of this newsletter ago (which is how I count time for the past four years), we went to the city's outskirts and came across a causeway leading to another island – away from Great Britain.
Back then it was already hiding under water as we missed the low tide, but this time we actually looked up the forecast beforehand and got to explore the uninhabited island a few miles away from the mainland.
