On Santorini
I slipped on my newsletter schedule again, but as always, it was for a good reason—this time, we embarked on our first proper journey outside of the UK in nearly three years, and we chose Greece of all places. I had never been to Greece before, and Santorini wasn't the first Greek destination on my list, but unexpectedly cheap tickets and a direct flight from Edinburgh convinced us to give it a go.

When most people think of Santorini, they picture white-and-blue houses and the Caldera—a large depression formed after a volcanic eruption—along with breathtaking views. To me, however, Santorini was all about the heat (though living in Scotland, almost everywhere else feels hot), tomatoes, and wine.
